Blur’s Dave Rowntree Shares Solo Single ‘London Bridge’ | News

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has shared new solo solitary ‘London Bridge’.

The drummer is a mainstay in the seminal Uk group, guiding them by different iterations, a split, and a reformation. Also a Labour councillor and a keen house enthusiast, he’s now plotting some solo activities.

New one ‘London Bridge’ is on the net now, and it’s nursery rhyme attractiveness is matched to some crisp electronics. Reminiscent of Kraftwerk in its simplicity, it’s a form of English street hymn, just one that has a true flavour of its own. Studio periods observed Dave Rowntree work along with Leo Abrahams, a Brian Eno collaborator and renowned composer in his own proper.

Now living in the countryside, Dave Rowntree seems to be again on his time in the Metropolis. He suggests:

“When I lived in London factors just commenced happening when I was in the vicinity of London Bridge, going around London Bridge on the bus, or on the tube heading beneath London Bridge. I would just recognize activities developing, or have everyday living switching views, make choices and it was a little bit unsettling. I experienced to confront my London Bridge demons.”
