Bruce Springsteen joins Coldplay for two songs Sunday at MetLife Stadium

So it is penned, so it shall be sung — in the swamps of Jersey.

Bruce Springsteen joined Coldplay to conduct two of the Boss’ tunes, “Dancing in the Dark” and “Working on a Aspiration,” on Sunday, June 5, at the British band’s MetLife Stadium display in East Rutherford.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has the latter tune title tattooed on his higher left arm.

“Chris stated he had this song tattooed on his arm for a while, so I guess I’ve got to sing it with him,” quipped Springsteen.

“Dream” was done acoustically with the total band on the stadium’s auxiliary phase in the middle of the discipline. Springsteen and Martin then sang “Dancing in the Darkish,” with Martin on piano and Springsteen on acoustic guitar, both sharing vocals.

“Thank you, Bruce,” claimed Martin. “Thank you for anything.”

The live performance Sunday was the 2nd of Coldplay’s two Music of the Spheres tour displays at MetLife. Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue joined the band on Saturday, June 4.

The band has lined Springsteen in the past, notably “Streets of Philadelphia,” but has in no way performed with him right up until Sunday.

In 2016 at MetLife, Coldplay performed “Jersey Female,” a song penned by Tom Waits and “made well-known by, in my belief, the best artist in record, Bruce Springsteen,” Martin stated.
