Track Of The Day 5/7 – Humour | Track of the day
Clash has generally had a smooth spot for Glasgow. Soon after all, we’re a title with deep Scottish roots, and we’re not shy about symbolizing all those.
Glasgow is in no way short of a good band or two, the city’s multitude of Diy networks constantly focussed in the direction of innovation. It is most likely this air of competition that offers the city its peculiar electric power – constantly leaning to excellence, and a desire to stand out from the pack.
Humour are new to us, and debut one ‘yeah, mud!’ undoubtedly stands out from the pack. Helter-skelter article-punk with a deeply choice choose on what constitutes a ‘pop’ melody, it is a seethingly clever slice of guitar tunes.
Birthed throughout infinite lockdown classes – Humour live alongside one another in a shared Glasgow flat – ‘yeah, mud!’ has a surreal contact to it, a person that leaves a permanent stain.
Humour comment…
“This tune was one particular that just arrived to us. I assume it came with each other in much less than an hour and every little thing just appeared to match to start with time. A good deal of the lyrics are inspired by an outdated book Andreas read. In this guide a soldier realises he’s about to die and writes his mother a be aware. I consider it’s interesting to think about what you may well have to say if you realised you were being likely to die in a few minutes, and what you’d then say to your mom. Plenty of stress to come up with anything significant.”
A sub-3 minute blast of jagged guitars and effervescent vocals, you can check out ‘yeah, mud!’ below.
