Last night, we announced that previous Pantera vocalist and bassist Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown experienced formally signed on to do a Pantera reunion tour, regardless of founding guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott and drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott becoming useless. Now, Phil and Rex have introduced who will participate in guitar and drums for this tour. And the winners are…
Ozzy and Black Label Culture guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante!
According to Billboard, a line-up that includes Wylde and Benante has been supplied the greenlight. The new line-up of Pantera will tour North The us and perform numerous major festivals this summer months.
To reiterate some thing that our readers seem to be to agree with us about: we believe this is an extremely stupid thought. So a lot of Pantera’s untamable magic was the Abbott Brothers, Dimebag specifically (no shade on Vinnie, we enjoy Vinnie, but he was not the fleet-fingered riff god that Darrell was). Meanwhile, Pantera broke up beneath uncomfortable situation, and I hardly ever obtained the vibe that Phil and the Abbotts were being back on awesome terms. This feels like perfectly-packaged sour milk to me. But hey, guess I will not purchase tickets and that’ll be that.
